Xavi Returns to FC Barcelona as First-Team Coach

Former Player Signs Three-Year Deal

Agreement Includes Two Additional Seasons Beyond Current Campaign

FC Barcelona has announced the appointment of Xavi Hernández as its new first-team coach. The agreement, which extends through the end of the current season and two additional campaigns, brings the legendary midfielder back to the club where he spent the majority of his playing career.

Xavi, a member of Barcelona's iconic "La Masia" youth academy, made his first-team debut in 1998 and went on to become one of the club's most decorated players. He won eight La Liga titles, four UEFA Champions League trophies, and two FIFA Club World Cups during his 17 seasons with Barcelona.

After retiring from playing in 2015, Xavi began his coaching career in Qatar with Al-Sadd. He led the team to seven major trophies, including four league titles and the Asian Champions League.

Xavi's return to Barcelona has been greeted with excitement by both fans and observers. He is known for his attacking style of play and his commitment to developing young players, which aligns with Barcelona's long-standing philosophy.
